PLAGIARISM POLICY
Plagiarism
The Eurasian Clinical and Analytical Medicine (ECAM) journal upholds a strict policy against plagiarism to preserve the originality and academic integrity of the scientific work it publishes. All submissions are evaluated as the authors’ original work, and any reuse of text, data, figures, or images without proper citation or permission is considered plagiarism. Similarly, rephrasing others’ ideas, concepts, or text without acknowledgment is also classified as plagiarism.
Plagiarism Screening Process
Every manuscript submitted to ECAM undergoes a thorough screening process for potential plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and duplicate publication. To support this commitment, ECAM utilizes DupliChecker software, which compares content against an extensive database to detect similarities. This screening process follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring that all submissions meet high ethical standards in academic publishing.
Responsibility and Permissions
Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any previously published material included in their submissions. When reusing text, data, images, or figures, authors must secure explicit permission from the original publisher and provide an authorization letter with their submission. Failure to obtain these permissions or to cite original sources properly may result in manuscript rejection.
Commitment to Academic Integrity
ECAM has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism and is dedicated to upholding academic credibility and scholarly excellence. By prioritizing original research and ethical practices, ECAM strives to serve as a reliable source of scientific information. This approach aligns with the standards expected by reputable indexing services and strengthens the journal’s reputation within the academic community.
Acceptable Similarity Threshold
In adherence to academic standards, ECAM allows a maximum similarity threshold of 20% for submitted manuscripts. If a manuscript exceeds this threshold, it will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected if originality cannot be assured. This policy reinforces our commitment to publish work that makes a genuine contribution to the scientific community.
By adhering to these rigorous standards, ECAM ensures that its published content is trustworthy and valuable, solidifying its role as a reputable resource within the global academic community. Our publishing policies are designed to align with best practices recommended by major academic and scientific organizations, reflecting our commitment to high-quality, ethical publication standards.
